Anne Morrissette, PMHNP

Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

Anne has experience treating children, adolescents, and adults with a wide range of mental health conditions. She is passionate about providing comprehensive care to her patients and believes everyone deserves access to quality mental health care to include medication management, psychotherapy, and psychoeducation. Anne works closely with patients and family to develop individualized treatment plans to meet unique and specific needs. Outside of work, Anne enjoys spending time with family and friends, painting, traveling, gardening, and exercise.

 

Kristin Setty, LCSW

Therapy

Kristin has been working in the mental health field for 10 years, providing services ranging from case management to medical social work to outpatient therapist. She believes in a person centered approach- passionate about meeting her clients where they are, helping them to identify and use their strengths on their way to their fullest potential. Kristin is skilled in CBT, mindfulness strategies and will be expanding her training to include Brainspotting. Personally, she seeks her own potential through running, and thrives in the outdoors with her husband and two sons, where they enjoy hiking, fishing, camping and more.

Amanda Ward, LPC

A graduate of Regent University and post-grad certification programs, Amanda is a Licensed Professional Counselor, Certified Mental Health Integrative Medicine Practitioner, Personal Trainer, Wellness coach. She has a whole-person approach to wellness and a passion for meeting you where you are to create a life of peace, excellence, and balance in physical, mental, and spiritual health. Amanda provides clinical therapy to children/adolescents/adults for concerns including behavior/mood disruption, anxiety and depression, trauma- acute and chronic/complex, and grief. She also provides coaching for all ages in wellness and lifestyle modification including food relationship, habit formation, emotion regulation, career/relationship issues, goal setting/achievement, and general wellness concerns. Amanda desires to welcome you into a partnership for your wellness whether it be through clinical, insurance-based mental health care, or private-pay personal lifestyle coaching.

Anthony (Tony) J. Foy LCSW

For the past 30 years, Tony has enjoyed helping individuals find balance by addressing the issues that have kept them stuck. Changing the way we think and feel about a problem is key to feeling better about your life. Tony believes that every person has the capacity to heal and change. Tony use EMDR therapy, CBT and other mindfulness-based treatments to help individuals find a resolution. Tony’s speciality areas are anxiety disorders, mood disorders, substance use disorders and trauma. He is a certified EMDR therapist.

Valerie Sikes-Nova, Psy.D

Therapy | Coaching

Valerie completed her doctorate in clinical psychology from the Virginia Consortium College of William and Mary, Old Dominion University, Eastern Virginia Medical School and Norfolk State University in 1987. She served her residency year at the Medical College of Virginia. Valerie served as a staff psychologist for Old Dominion University, providing testing, therapy, and programming to faculty, staff, and students. She worked also for the O.D.U Women's Center, where she provided programming on date rape and domestic violence. Valerie works mainly with clinical needs of women and has been practicing for almost 30 years.

With degrees from Randolph Macon, Duke University, William and Mary, and clinical training from VCU/MCV and the Family Institute of Virginia, Morgan is an educational specialist, licensed professional counsellor, and family therapist. He enjoys working with adults, youth, and justice-involved individuals exploring various life struggles such as relationships, parenting, substance abuse, depression and anxiety, divorce and stage of life issues. Morgan facilitates substance abuse, anger management, and adolescent coping groups as well as working with individuals, families, and couples.

Penny completed her BA at the University of California, secondary education and teaching license from the University of Nebraska. Penny went on to receive her M.Ed and Ed.S. from the College of William and Mary. She is a licensed professional counselor and family therapist. She works with adults and youth in the areas of family systems, substance abuse, co-dependency, emotional stress, relationships, divorce, parenting, and prevention and wellness. Penny meets with individuals and facilitates substance abuse groups.

Eleanor Woollard, LPC

Eleanor received her Ed.S in Counseling and her Masters in Psychology from West Georgia College. She has practiced professionally for over 30 years. Eleanor prefers to work with individuals and couples in various life changes such as retirement, relationships, and divorce as well as depression and anxiety.

Regina Gerstman, PhD, LCSW

Therapy | Coaching

Regina completed her Bachelor's degree at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, and her Master's in Social Work (adult clinical) at the University of Michigan, School of Social Work. She earned her doctorate in Human Development from the Educational Psychology Department at the University of Texas in Austin. Regina focuses on individuals and couples in midlife and late-life. Typical areas include preparation for retirement, one partner is ill, dementia, or death; adjustment to separation and divorce, and happy couple work.

Stephen Simmers, LPC, CSAC

Stephen uses a person-centred, sincere, solution-focused therapy to focus on your issues, building a rapport to address issues of addiction, adjustment and trauma issues, along with marital/couples and family issues. Stephen excels in defining client goals and building trusting relationships supporting adults and families experiencing challenges with substance abuse, mental illness, and environmental stress. As a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Stephen has ten years of counseling experience and lots of life experience to enhance our counseling sessions.

Stephen has years of experience in dealing with individual and families challenged with substance use addiction and moving that individual into a life of sobriety and recovery. He holds specialized certifications of Certified Substance Abuse Counselor (CSAC), Masters Addictions Counselor (MAC) and Clinical Certified Forensic Addictions Specialist (CCFAS).

Stephen believes building rapport, trust, and an honest therapeutic relationship are building blocks to achieve your goals and an overall improvement in your mental health.

 

Michelle Johnson, LCSW

Michelle is a graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University with a master’s in social work and education, and a Post-grad. certification in family systems and leadership. Michelle believes that treatment is unique for each client and tailors her approach to individual needs and backgrounds. Her sessions integrate cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, and person-centered motivational enhancement techniques to facilitate necessary changes. She specializes in working with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and family systems, who are dealing with depression, anxiety, grief, traumatic events, or challenging relationships. Michelle has experience working with a wide range of cultural backgrounds. Therapy can clear the path toward wellness and Michelle strives to form a relationship with each client in which they feel supported, validated, and free to explore their innermost thoughts and feelings in safety and confidence.
